Celebrating
OUR LEGACY
For over a century, we’ve been a part of the heartbeat of summer nights in Indianapolis, creating the soundtrack of baseball crowds cheering on Indy’s Original Home Team.
As we look ahead, we are excited to embrace a vibrant evolution as we continue our story with the city of Indianapolis and beyond. Our refreshed identity will not only honor our rich past but will represent our future, ensuring the energy of America’s pastime continues to resonate for years to come.
Dear Indianapolis Indians Fans,
Speaking for our team, our staff, our community shareholders and my family, thank you for more than a century of loyalty to the Indianapolis Indians—Indianapolis’ original home team. Baseball here has always been about more than the game. It’s about friends, community and family. My parents, Max and Judy, first met while working in the Indians ticket office in 1957.
As we look forward to our 124th season—and celebrating 30 years at the “new” Victory Field—you’ll notice something different: a refreshed look for your Indianapolis Indians. It’s a design that feels both new and timeless, honoring our storied past while embracing the promise of the future.
What hasn’t changed, and never will, is our commitment to you. For 12 decades, fans have seen legends like Rocky Colavito, Roger Maris, Herb Score, Harmon Killebrew, George Foster, Ken Griffey Sr., Randy Johnson, Larry Walker, Razor Shines, Andrew McCutchen and Paul Skenes take the field here in Indy. MLB affiliates including the Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Montreal Expos, Milwaukee Brewers and, for the past 20 years, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Through it all, our mission has stayed the same: to bring affordable, family-friendly fun to the fans of Central Indiana. Victory Field is more than a ballpark; it’s a place where memories are made and the magic of baseball lives on.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting Indy’s Original Home Team.
Sincerely,
Bruce Schumacher

COMMUNITY
Families have come to Indianapolis Indians games for decades, passing down traditions like Opening Night, July Fourth and postgame fireworks from generation to generation. In 1996, fans embraced closing the Bush Stadium chapter for a new home at the corner of West and Maryland, and since, we have opened the Victory Field gates to the greater Indy community for more than baseball.
FAMILY
We pride ourselves in serving the Indy community with a family-friendly atmosphere at Indianapolis Indians games and a value unlike any other. We embrace everyone who visits the ballpark – both for a game or to gather within their community – and are inspired to treat them as family and friends.

Brand
INDENTITY
PRIMARY LOGO
The refreshed logo combines a traditional blackletter “I” with a red diamond from the team’s 1920s logo, encircled by a border inspired by the ribbon work of the Miami Nation of Indians, who collaborated on the overall design. This new look honors the team’s long history in Indianapolis while representing local Indigenous culture. Explore these elements below.
"19"
The circular badge mimics vintage insignias, signaling tradition, resilience and craftsmanship. This timeless shape evokes a sense of history, designed intentionally for a team founded in 1902, proudly displayed in gold on either side of the crest.
"I"
The blackletter “I” is at the heart of the logo, referencing both Indianapolis and Indians. This centerpiece pays homage to traditional baseball aesthetics and turn-of-the-century typography, rooting the mark in the sport’s visual history while giving it a stately presence.
"Ribbon"
Developed in collaboration with the Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana, the diamond motif border draws on traditional Miami ribbon work patterns and reflects a shared commitment to honoring and accurately representing Indigenous culture.

MONOGRAM
The “INDY” monogram is rooted in tradition. The interlocking letterforms evoke a classic, old-world athletic aesthetic, reminiscent of vintage baseball caps, scorecards and team emblems. It’s a bridge between eras honoring baseball’s origin while offering a clean, modern edge. The interwoven structure of the I, N, D and Y suggests unity, precision and craftsmanship. It’s carefully balanced, creating a composition that feels as at home in 1902 as it does today.
WORDMARK
The wordmark draws inspiration from early 20th century American sports lettering, with ornate serifs and high-contrast strokes that reflect the team’s founding in 1902. The large, dramatic blackletter “I” anchors the composition, establishing gravitas and vintage authenticity. The bottom ornament grounds the mark and the inclusion of the Bush Stadium-era script “I” suggests that while the Indians stand poised for the future, its past serves as its foundation. The “I” and “A” come together to form a “Y”, exposing a hidden “INDY” in the mark that becomes a story fans can tell, adding depth and dimension to the brand. Like the team’s own long history, the design reveals more the longer you look at it. These subtle design decisions and flourishes elevate the logo from a standard wordmark to one that feels handcrafted and reinforces the heritage feel of the brand.
